Description
Senior Logistics AnalystThe Senior Logistics Analyst will provide senior-level logistics analysis, supply chain optimization, and process improvement support for AMCOM ALC SCMD operations. The position will analyze Army logistics data, assess inventory and supply performance, identify operational risks and bottlenecks, and develop actionable recommendations that improve supply availability, inventory accountability, transportation effectiveness, warehouse performance, and mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead logistics analysis and process optimization activities supporting Army supply chain, inventory, transportation, distribution, and readiness operations.
- Use LMP and other authorized Army logistics systems to research, analyze, track, and report logistics and supply chain information.
- Analyze demand, supply availability, material movement, denials, lead times, excess inventory, warehouse utilization, order fulfillment, and transportation performance.
- Develop recommendations to improve inventory accuracy, material visibility, operational efficiency, supply responsiveness, and mission support.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, trend analyses, briefings, performance metrics, and decision-ready analytical products for Government and program leadership.
- Apply Army supply regulations, policies, and procedures when evaluating logistics processes, internal controls, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with data analysts, warehouse personnel, site leadership, and Government stakeholders to integrate findings and improve operational outcomes.
- Mentor junior analysts and review analytical methods, assumptions, data quality, and final deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience supporting Army logistics, supply chain, inventory, or materiel management operations.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience using the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
- Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated experience leading logistics analysis, trend analysis, root cause analysis, or supply chain process improvement efforts.
- Strong analytical writing, briefing, communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work full time on site at Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, AL, and coordinate with Fort Bliss operations as required.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required clearance, as specified by contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting AMCOM, Army Materiel Command, aviation or missile systems, wholesale supply, depot, warehouse, or Centralized Distribution Activity operations.
- Experience with GCSS-Army, DPAS, STAMIS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, Power Query, or other approved logistics data analysis and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Army supply regulations, MILSTRIP, MILSTRAP, inventory control, transportation management, and warehouse operations.
- Experience preparing performance metrics, dashboards, executive briefings, CDRL deliverables, and corrective action recommendations.
