Description
The CompanyOur client is a global leader in high-tech manufacturing, operating a complex, multi-tier supply network that supports cutting-edge products and demanding customer requirements. They are seeking a FP&A Manager/Controller to serve as a strategic finance partner to the global procurement and supply chain organization-shaping sourcing decisions, strengthening product economics, and safeguarding gross margin.
This is a global leadership role with significant visibility and influence across Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, and Business Unit Finance.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Global Director, this is a highly strategic finance business partnering role at the intersection of Procurement, Operations, and Finance, with direct impact on cost competitiveness and profitability. The successful candidate will be the financial anchor for Global Sourcing, leading procurement savings governance, PPV management, and material cost performance across a complex global supply chain.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as the primary finance partner to the Global Sourcing team, providing financial analysis and guidance to support sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate strategic sourcing decisions, including multi-year supply agreements, supplier selection strategies, and sole-source versus multi-source scenarios.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Global Operations, and Business Units to establish and track target costs for products and components.
Procurement Savings & Cost Management
- Lead the design, governance, and reporting of the global procurement savings program, ensuring consistent methodologies across all spending categories.
- Monitor and report cost savings performance, including pipeline, realized savings, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Track and analyze material cost trends, savings realization, cost headwinds, and opportunities for improvement.
Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Leadership
- Own PPV analysis, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Develop forward-looking PPV projections based on supplier agreements, purchase commitments, and market dynamics.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to business leaders regarding cost impacts and margin implications.
Governance & Reporting
- Serve as the owner of reference cost tools and tracking systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and ongoing maintenance.
- Prepare monthly management reports and executive-level presentations covering procurement financial performance.
- Drive annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities related to procurement savings, PPV, and sourcing organization expenses.
Your Profile
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive finance experience, including procurement, operations, supply chain, or manufacturing finance.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale procurement or supply chain organizations within a manufacturing environment.
- Industry experience in semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, advanced manufacturing, high-tech hardware, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of procurement savings programs, reference pricing methodologies, and cost management frameworks.
- Advanced analytical skills with proven experience handling large datasets, PPV analysis, and cost tracking systems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and strong financial modeling capabilities.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively across multiple functions and regions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information into actionable business insights.
