The Law Office of Scott Herlihy is an Austin-based family law practice focused on sophisticated, high-touch representation in divorce and other family law matters in Travis and surrounding counties.
For more than 25 years, Scott Herlihy has built a reputation for strategic advocacy, professionalism, and compassionate client service. The firm handles complex and high-conflict matters involving divorce, custody disputes, marital property division, enforcement actions, modifications, and premarital/postmarital agreements.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and client-focused attorney who is comfortable working on cases independently while working collaboratively with the supervising attorney and experienced support staff.

- Organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines efficiently
- Interested in building long-term relationships with the firm and its clients
- Recording accurate and timely billing entries in accordance with firm standards
- Experience practicing family law in Travis County and surrounding counties is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Active Texas Bar license required
- Minimum 2 years of family law experience preferred
- Courtroom experience preferred
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with current cases and transition to the management of caseload from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and orders
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Assist supervising attorney with case development, management, and hearing and trial prep
- Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Work closely with supervising attorney and support staff to move cases efficiently
- Provide clients with excellent service throughout representation
This is a client-facing role with autonomy and flexibility. The firm provides workload - business development and case origination are not required.
