About the Role:
At Spartronics, we are seeking a motivated Warehouse Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with receiving, storing, issuing, and inventorying materials, and ensure accuracy and organization within the warehouse.
Work Schedule:
- 4-day/10-hour work week.
- 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
- 2nd Shift: Monday Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM.
- Shift Differential: Employees working the second shift will receive an additional $1.50 per hour in addition to their base hourly rate.
- Overtime: The goal is to limit overtime, but it is a reality in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Store materials in designated locations and maintain warehouse organization.
- Pick and issue materials accurately to production or shipping areas.
- Perform basic inventory transactions using warehouse management systems.
- Support periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Communicate any discrepancies or shortages to supervisors promptly.
- Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.
- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory software systems.
- Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Key Metrics and Focus Areas:
- Accuracy of material transactions and inventory records.
- Timeliness of material picking and issuing.
- Compliance with safety and quality procedures.
Physical Requirements / Essential Functions:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and lift materials.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity to identify parts and labels.
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
- Use of standard warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and carts.
Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Compensation is determined by work experience in warehouse operations, education, and prior experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
