Commonwealth Rolled Products is a leading manufacturer of Aluminum rolled products for the Automotive, Commercial, and Industrial markets. The Company operates its production facility in Lewisport, KY with the support of an Automotive Innovation Center for R&D, Sales and Field Service in Madison Heights (DET), and Inside Sales in the Cleveland, OH area.
Our production facility is seeking to add a talented Supply Chain Scheduler to its Supply Chain team. The purpose of this role is to schedule products through key production centers in the Legacy and ABS entities such as Casting, Hot Mill, Cold Mills, Wide Cold Mill, and CALP. This role is responsible for scheduling production through the use of Visual 8, Legacy, MES and Oracle ERP systems to effectively support the Supply Chain team and demonstrate an exemplary safety record through compliance of all safety rules and policies.
Responsibilities Include:
- Actively participate in maintaining a zero incident safety culture
- Live and champion the Commonwealth Rolled Products core values; Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork
- Utilize production and engineering specifications to produce detailed schedules, material requirement lists and production plans to support the operations
- Provide and communicate detailed work center activity and resource scheduling
- Monitor and ensure visibility into execution timeline of activities while acting as a point of contact
- Monitor sales demand planning impacts through the planning horizon with the use of lot tickets and availabilities on key machine centers
- Provide administrative support and assistance for the Supply Chain team as required
- Input master schedules into ERPs to produce optimal production levels at machine centers
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain Management and Planners and Inside Sales to appropriately determine planning production levels and on time delivery priorities
- Ensure accurate inventory levels at facility using detailed cycle counts monthly, physical inventory quarterly and weekly or daily spot checks in ingot yard
- Participate in continuous improvement that eliminate waste, reduce costs, and meet customer requirements
- Work effectively with teams to determine solutions to problems
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Solid data-entry skills with the ability to be detail-oriented
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Successful candidate will be detail oriented and exhibit high levels of accuracy
- Basic knowledge of operational and supply chain processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency required for Microsoft Office Suite application
- Willingness to work during off hours as needed, including some night shifts and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a production and inventory planning-related field desired
- Working knowledge of ERP including Oracle and Legacy systems preferred
