- Environmental Consultant (Contract Position)
Description
Project Overview:
COTS is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Environmental Consultant for a contract-based roles supporting a facility renovation project. This role plays a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices and assist in meeting regulatory requirements throughout the duration of the project.
Scope of Work:
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Conducting environmental assessments and audits.
- Developing and implement environmental management plans.
- Providing advice on environmental regulations and policies.
- Preparing reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Analyzing data related to pollution and other environmental hazards.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions.
- Conducting fieldwork and site investigations.
- Performing risk assessments for various environmental factors.
- Assisting in obtaining environmental permits and licenses.
- Delivering presentations and training on environmental issues and best practices.
- Staying updated on environmental laws, regulations, and trends.
Contract Term:
This is a contract-based position with an initial term of up to one (1) year, with the potential for extension based on project progress and completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in environmental science or related field.
- Certification in environmental auditing or management.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Previous consulting experience.
- Strong background in environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and environmental modeling software.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective Written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
