Position Overview:
Professional Aviation Management is hiring two Corporate Counsel positions to support the in-house Legal team of LATAM Airlines Group in Miami, FL:
Position 1: Generalist Corporate Counsel (6-month term)
Position 2: Contracts-Focused Corporate Counsel (12-month term)
Both positions offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multinational legal environment with exposure to a broad range of aviation-related legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Generalist Corporate Counsel (5 months):
Provide legal guidance and support to business teams across a wide range of issues, including commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
Draft, review, and analyze contracts for internal clients, ensuring alignment with LATAM’s contractual standards and policies.
Monitor and interpret laws and regulations relevant to the aviation industry and support compliance efforts through training and/or legal updates.
Provide responsive legal support across departments to help address evolving business needs and priorities.
Collaborate with LATAM Legal teams and business stakeholders across jurisdictions.
Contracts-Focused Corporate Counsel (12 months):
Focus on reviewing, drafting, and analyzing a wide variety of commercial contracts.
Ensure contract compliance with LATAM's internal legal and procurement standards.
Work closely with business units to align legal review timelines with operational needs.
Assist in reviewing and responding to CBP-related agency inquiries, notices, and administrative correspondence, working with operational teams to address issues constructively and mitigate risk.
Provide legal support on a variety of projects and initiatives, as needed, to advance the Legal team's objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
Licensed to practice law in Florida; in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Between 2-4 years of legal experience.
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team.
Strong judgment and ability to assess and mitigate legal and business risks effectively.
Interest in learning about LATAM’s operations and the aviation industry.
Additional Notes:
This position is employed by Professional Aviation Management and supports the LATAM Airlines Legal team in Miami.
No visa sponsorship is available; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
This is a full-time role, expected to continue beyond the initial assignment based on business needs. [For the 12-month position only]
