Description
Role Description:
Fantastic opportunity for a Contract Administrator with experience drafting, reviewing, auditing, and tracking contract milestones with a heavy focus on licensing. Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, have strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills, be proficient with software like MS Office Suite, Google docs, and contract management, as well as be an effective communicator and collaborator.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting and Reviewing: Prepare, review, revise, and manage contracts from NDA to deal memo to final contract.
Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all contracts adhere to legal and company policies.
Managing the Contract Lifecycle: Handle all aspects of contracts, from initial creation through execution, modification, and closeout.
Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and track contract milestones, deliverables, payment schedules, deadlines, and other material terms to ensure all parties meet their obligations.
Maintenance and Recording: Maintain detailed and organized digital files of all contracts, deal memos, correspondence, and related documents.
Coordination: Act as a liaison between project teams, legal counsel, finance, and external vendors. Manage outside agents, licensees, and ensure our company contract process is being followed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Contract Administrator, paralegal, or similar role, preferably within the licensing, entertainment, or creative industries.
Experience working with intellectual property rights, licensing, and contracts in connection with consumer products, entertainment properties – licensor / brand owner side is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and reliably under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment for multiple deals and contracts.
Familiarity with legal agreements, in particular license agreements.
Skills:
Highly proficient with MS Office suite of applications, Adobe, Google docs, and general comfort with learning new software applications.
Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver with a passion for supporting.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities and able to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
Experience with MyMediaBox a plus for data maintenance, royalty reporting, and data auditing.
Experience with trademark prosecution and docketing a plus, but not required. Pay rate/range for this role is $38.00 - $46.00 per hour, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
