Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement: Source and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company policies and specifications.Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock to meet production and operational needs.Planning: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet customer demand.Order Processing: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.Cost Control: Analyze and manage costs to achieve budgetary goals and identify cost-saving opportunities.Data Analysis: Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing decisions.Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.Reporting: Generate and distribute procurement and inventory reports to management, highlighting any issues or concerns.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in procurement and planning processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Other Duties: Perform other procurement and planning-related tasks as assigned by the supply chain manager.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.Proven experience in procurement, planning, or a related role.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
