Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Purchasing Internship Position Overview:

Arrowhead Winch is seeking an Intern to support our Purchasing Team in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for purchasing assigned commodities, based on requirements and exercising independent judgment. Position will be responsible for supplier management, supplier development and other project management as assigned.

Arrowhead Winch Internship Schedule and Benefits: 

Arrowhead Winch can accommodate part-time or full-time working hours based upon college schedule. This is an on-site internship, and hours must be completed during normal business hours.  Duration of Internship could be 6-9 months based upon assigned projects.   Limited benefits include Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug and 401K with 5% matching. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Reviews supplier pricing, quality and delivery to determine selection of suppliersCoordinates cross functional teams as necessary for project completionPerforms order follow-up for timely delivery in support of scheduleMonitors supplier performance using Quality, Cost and Delivery metricsOrganizes and leads improvement projects, and resourcing efforts utilizing 6-Sigma tools or other problem-solving toolsCommunicate and conduct supplier business reviews with plant and division personnel at all management levelsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Pursuing a Bachelor level degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.Excellent written and oral communication skills, software proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPointTeam player, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervisionAbility to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently with changing priorities.
