Introduction
Temasek adopts an ecosystem development approach to build new platforms and transform existing businesses for sustainable growth and value creation. This involves collaborating with various external stakeholders to enhance our network of partners and facilitate cooperation to drive growth sectors in Singapore.
SGM is responsible for building strategic partnerships with the Government and other relevant stakeholders in Singapore, supporting the development of a resilient and vibrant Temasek ecosystem. SGM works closely with investment and portfolio development teams to identify relevant public policies, engage key stakeholders including government officials and regulators, and foster mutually beneficial partnerships to build new economy enterprises and ecosystems in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Identify and map key policy stakeholders relevant to Temasek's projects and interests
Develop and support stakeholder engagement strategies to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders
Plan, organise and manage SGM's stakeholder engagement platforms
Support the team in monitoring, analysing and assessing relevant public policies and their opportunities for Temasek and our ecosystem, as well as managing public policy positions across various domains
Support the formulation and execution of plans to address strategic policy issues, coordinating across the organisation for a consolidated approach
Support internal and external meetings platforms
Requirements
Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business Management, Economics, or a related field
2 to 4 years of relevant experience in government relations or public policy, with knowledge of protocol management
Experience in strategy work within a government agency or corporate is advantageous
Possess a deep interest and ability to understand how policies, business, finance, sustainability (including energy, carbon services, agrifood), technology and innovation (including AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, data centres and quantum), workforce, as well as international relations, are interconnected, which are pertinent issues that have an impact on our projects and initiatives
Keen interest in translating policy/regulatory engagements into commercial outcomes
Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral), and project management skills
Experience in events content curation and management
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships and networks with counterparts in the public and private sectors
Ability to work effectively with various internal teams, including Investment, Portfolio Development, and Emerging Technologies Groups, to represent the company's positions on various policy issues
Resourceful, with the ability to work and problem-solve rather independently
Ability to multi-task and pay exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
