Associate Attorney – Contract Construction Law
Siegfried Rivera is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Construction Law
practice. There is a strong focus on contracts and building relationships with the clients. The successful
candidate will support a wide range of construction related agreements, gaining exposure to both domestic
and international projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and negotiating construction, design, design build, and related contracts.
- Collaborate to assess project specific contractual needs, considering factors such as cost, location,
and intended use. - Apply legal expertise to identify and mitigate risks during contract formation.
- Work with a diverse client base including public entities, educational institutions, private developers,
low-income housing developers, homeowners, condominium associations, and general contractors. - Support international project work as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Florida.
- 7+ years of experience in construction law and contract work preferred.
- Experience with drafting contracts required.
- Litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong legal writing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Familiarity with legal tech tools (e.g. NetDocuments, Perfectlaw, Lexis Nexis).
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Interest in construction law and contract development.
- Experience with public and private sector clients.
