American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an outpatient OT position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, with flexible scheduling options and no weekend or call requirements.
Details- Outpatient OT unit setting
- Day shift schedule with two options: 5x8s (Mon/Wed 9:45–18:15, Tues/Thurs/Fri 7:30–16:00) or flexible 4x9 Mon–Thu 7:30–17:00 plus a half-day Friday 7:30–13:00
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 24-week contract
- Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience
- Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
